Ok so I set up PiVPN on my local network, connected to it with another device on the local network, looked at my public ip and it didn't change. Nor did the dns server. it still has my old IP and the isp's dns server. I configured the OpenVPN to use cloudflare dns which is 1.1.1.1. It even says when I connect to it on windows that the assigned IP is different. I verify it on the Pi side and it says my assigned ip is different than my normal public IP. Its not the same as my private ip either. The assigned IP is definitely a public IP, not internal. I will not give out the IP. Thank!

Solution
That is likely because the second pc does not know to go to the vpn box for its connection.

This is very messy to make work with only a single ethernet port. Does the pivpn even support a second device behind it.

In any case your first step is to try to force the gateway on the second pc to go to the vpn box.
