Hi
I am have a problem configuring our new server (Win2K3) to accept VPN
connections in our head office.
I vaguely remember having problems with the old server (Win2k) but probably
through trial and error I managed to get it working. Unfortunately that was
about 2 years ago so I have no idea what I did to fix the problem.
The problem we are having is that users are getting Error 721 when they try
to connect. Basically they try and Veryify Username & Password for about a
minute before they give up.
The new server has Winroute running on it but i have disabled that to no
avail.
Also, both servers sit behind an ADSL router which forwards port 1723 to
them. I cannot see that as a problem as the old (working) server sits behind
the same router and it works fine.
Currently I feel this problem may be down to a DNS issue with remote clients
unable to contact the DC (which is the same machine) but I have run nslookup
and cannot see any problems!!
Can anyone shed any light on why remote users are unable to authenticate?
Kind regards
