VPN for amazon fire stick running kodi

I hope I'm in the right spot. I just got an amazon fire stick with kodi and I am wondering what a good VPN would be to use with it??

I am looking to access geolocked stuff as well as privacy. I do not have experience with VPNs. I currently have comcast for internet with one of their routers.

Can anyone suggest a VPN and explain how I would set this up with the fires stick or on the modem?? From the research I have done, it doesn't look like there are any VPN apps that work with fire stick.

I use SaferVPN, it has servers in loads of companies and they do not track user data. You will need a router that allows you to set up a VPN connection within it if you cannot set one up on the firestick. What router do you have??

I have a big black xfinity modem/router all in one from Comcast.

And when you searched on line for that model and it's VPN capability what did it say??

(I have looked, its not possible on this router).

I appreciate your help but there's no need to be condescending. This is something I have never done before and I didn't know certain routers weren't capable of using vpns. I come here first because usually people are very helpful.

I will look elsewhere for further help in choosing a router that fits my needs.

My apologies. Unfortunately you can't set up the vpn on the firestick so your only option would be to direct all the network traffic through a vpn on the router. This is also not possible on your router. You could find a router with this functionality, it's quite common. You would then bridge the modem to your new router, sign up for a vpn service and configure the connection on the new router.

Hey try reading it here at https://www.bestvpnprovider.com/kodi-vpn/ I was using one of the top vpns with kodi and yeah it still is working fine with kodi and geo-locked content.

OpenVPN was supposed to work on the fire tv os3. I never got it to. Os5 is supposed to work with vpn apps but I never tried.
Look into doing it through a secondary router. You may need to dmz it on your main router. It'll be your VPN hotspot. I feel this will be a more fruitful endeavor than trying to get software to play nice and it'll be a VPN hotspot so everything will work with the VPN.
