vpn provides better ping than own isp

it started a week ago , so in a game ,ping of every server increased only for me by approx, 100ms in each.
so i started using vpn and found tht they they provide normal ping , which i usually get on those servers.
ex - before anything was wrong my ping- 170
after -290
vpn-190

Usually the reason is that VPN traffic gets prioritized on your network overriding the routers ability to load balance traffic. So if other things are going on with other devices or users, the VPN traffic goes out first.

the thing is i cant even complain to my isp , cause im getting better ping when i do speed test and the other server is in my country but when i choose servers from the country where the gaming server is, i get the same results(bad ping).

It doesn't have to be your router, you are also bypassing the ISP's efforts to manage the traffic.

Anyhow, depending on the ISP's pathing agreements with other ISPs that might just be how it is, forever.

What game are we talking about? Some games have better tolerance to different pings than others. I know in RB6 for example it can actually be beneficial to aim for 100 -200 ms ping vs 35 ms because of the way the server manage compensation for the slower ping players.

the game is lfs , and i m talking about muliple servers, and exactly 100ms is up on all of them then usual.
and shouldnt any third party vpn should be worse than own isp connection

It depends on what agreements the ISP has in place to backhaul traffic and what those route look like, using a VPN bypasses all of that.

So the answer is sometimes yes and sometimes no, depends totally on how their network is set up. Using a VPN basically means you are using your ISP to connect to a new ISP, - so your ISP is only moving the traffic from you to the VPN server, the VPN company ISP is now the one moving the traffic the rest of the way.

ok , so i hv talked to my isp, they said they hv change the route and it did get back to normal ping.
but after 1 day , its back to being worse.
i call them again , and they r trying to make stories tht its not thier problem , its the servers. and i hv to upgarde my speed and bs. i wonder how did they fix it 1st time and why wont do it again , even tho i threaten to change isp..
btw the ip is master.liveforspeed.net or 188.122.74.158 which i m trying to connect
i m also trying to use softether vpn gate but the ping is worse there .(just trying to find free open vpn servers)

The issue starts at IP address 182.79.245.141 (airtel.com in India). Since your ISP seems to be Tikona Infinet Ltd., they can't be blamed for the issue.

ye , they just kinda combined with airtel , but wht could be the problem , airtel is bigger isp and it is sending the packets from india to direct amstradem . i did try a server in vpn gate from u.a.e. which gave me better ping, but it went offline soon , do u know a way to find a good server for this specific ip, i hv tried many but all r worse.

Did you provide the tracert results to your ISP? If Tikona is now part of Airtel, then they should be able to correct the issue. The 182.79.245.141 router may be too busy or the backbone between 182.79.191.17 and 182.79.245.141 is too slow.

I can't help you with VPN.
