[SOLVED] VPNs

Only you can answer this. All you get on this type of questions is idiots posting links so they get free time on a vpn service. Others you will get posts with no explanation, again a lot of advertising posts.

It greatly depends why you want to do this. If you plan to do illegal stuff like torrent of stolen movies and games you need a very different services than if you are just trying to hide your IP from your gamer "freinds?"

Some people try to use these to get past geolocation so they can for example watch netflix. This is very hit and miss since these companies block vpn services and it may work today but then they update their list and it break tomorrow.

Pretty much the best option is to try some of the larger vendors and see how well they work. Most have either trials or money back guarantees.

The reason only you can do this is the connectivity between your ISP and the VPN data centers is different that someone even on the same ISP but in a different city. You can not predict the performance....especially when you could be in any country and a vpn that works good in asia is different than one that works well in the USA

The main recommendation I can make is you get what you pay for. All the larger ones cost about the same. You want to avoid any free ones. They do all kinds of nasty stuff. Some have been caught loading bit coin miners into people machines.
