Hey, I have an oculus rift with my current build of an i5 4460 and a gtx 1050ti. I found a good deal on a gtx 1660 super, which people have said would be bottlenecked by my cpu. Does this apply to vr, or is vr gpu dependent enough for me to see improvements in performance?

VR displays have a very high pixel count/display. It requires more horsepower on the GPU. So more of the resources will run on the GPU. But your 4460 will be a bottle neck. You'll get some benefit, but not a lot. (Sorry to report)
