VRAM Heatsinks for Aftermarket cooler?

I recently bought the Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV 280 (X) for my stock 7970 as it is very loud on load.

Having read lots of reviews and comments on the cooler, I've found that people complain most about the VRAM cooling that the cooler offers.
Many of them advise getting some DRAM/VRAM heatsinks to mount under the cooler.

The issue I am having is that everyone uses "Alpenföhn Passive DRAM / VRAM Chip Coolers", but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them anymore.

So my question is, are there alternatives? Will it be necessary to get some at all? If I were to get alternatives what sizes would I look for and how many?

Surely 14mm is going to be way too tall to fit under the cooler

You'd need to measure. You can always shorten them.

I've seen a few that are like 13 x 13 x 6.
When the cooler arrives later today I shall measure the space between.

Do you think there will be a decent temperature change?

Oh yeah, VRMs run real hot - over 100C. The heatsinks will drop it back by at least 20C especially if they're getting good air flow over them.
