Hello !
I have a configuration with a 780 ti with 3 gb of Vram and i was wondering, if it was enough for at least the next two year on 1080p...
I am suddenly afraid that it can bottleneck the card, in the near future.

Solution
no need to regret it, Though I prefer the R9 290X, because I had the same choice and got that one (sucks as I paid $799 for mine).

They shouldn't be releasing 6GB GTX 780Ti's, otherwise there selling cheap GTX Titan blacks essentially.
I read somewhere that EVGA will release 6GB version of the 780 ti.
But i hope that my 3 gb won't be a bottleneck, as you said it.
I saw for example that the 2gb of the 680 and the 1,5 gb of the 580 can be a bottleneck these days, that's why, i'm a bit scared.

the 3GB GTX 780Ti is fine, there will never be a bottleneck from it's Vram, ever. I would be worried about the core, you do have 2880 Cuda cores, which is heaps! Though before over 3GB Vram is needed, the core will be suffering first, no need to worry!

If you are still worried check this out; GTX 770 2GB vs 4GB, though this is not your card, it shows if the Vram effects performance when over 2GB is used;

No difference, even when you are getting low FPS in intense triple 1080p gameplay setups (which use more then 2GB Vram certainly), the 4GB version provides no benefit. In this case a 3GB card on a 384-bit memory interface will do no help with 6GB Vram on a 384-bit memory interface, though the memory bus is not really a factor, I listed it as the 770 uses 2GB 256-Bit, in case people are confused.

If you have any other questions, just ask and we'll gladly help.

Thanks for your answer !
I ran some benchmark with my 780 ti ghz edition from Gygabyte ( with an I7 4770k and 16 gb of ram)) on ultra presset on a 1080p resolution on Unigine Heaven 4.0 and i have a score of 1600/1700.
Do you know if it's a normal score ?

According to that link you should be getting a better score. That is the same card you have right?

Also, it might be a different setting too, but I'm not too familiar with the Heaven 4.0 Benchmark. You could also try some other benchmarks, like Unigine Valley, and just google 780ti scores for that and compare yours.

I assume you have a capable power supply? What brand is it and what wattage? Probably not causing this, just curious.

I have akasa venom 750w power supply.

On this link the difference is not that much( i did have a 1700 score once)

3GB should be fine... some games are currently pushing 2GB at max settings but the real benefit of having more VRAM is for higher resolutions as they require quite a lot of horsepower...

Yes, having at least a BRONZE + Certified PSU is necessary/strongly recommended. Otherwise you risk destroying components in your pc.

Having a 780ti and a non-certified psu is like going out and buying a brand new Lexus and then getting bald tires with no tread left on them from the junkyard to put on it...
