Hello, im new to the forum.
So, i recently got interested in hardware and got this question:
Is texture quality only VRAM dependant or amount of TFLOPs also matters?
Would be glad if somebody posted an answer.

Solution
TFLOPs is a measure of computational power. It, however, isn't a great measure of real performance. There are cases where 1 card can have nearly the same amount TFLOPs as another card but still vastly outperform it. Knowing this you can assume more TFLOPs is a loose indicator of how well a card will perform.

VRAM is the amount of memory available to the card. More memory doesn't necessarily mean better performance. If you're not already using all the VRAM, having more will do little. If on the other hand you run out of memory, more will greatly improve performance.

Having more TFLOPs won't guarantee better texture quality. More VRAM will allow you to run games at a higher texture quality. If none of the games can saturate 1 card...
