VRAM requirement - 4gb enough ??

I am looking forward to buy an rx 570 Nitro+ variant by Sapphire

However I just wanted to know whether 4gb is enough for 1080p gaming. And in the worst case scenario i will reduce my resolution.

So that's the next question...will 720p and 1080p have a huge difference if the monitor is about at any arm's length (rough estimate, it will be more)

4gb is enough, but you can often get a 480 or 580 for not much more than a 470 / 570

What size is the monitor? The larger it is, the more likely you are to notice a difference.

24" give or take, is best for 1080p. A 720p image on that monitor won't be as sharp. This is why you'd want to run at the native resolution of the monitor if possible. However, everyone's eyesight is slightly different, and not everyone will agree what looks good. A 570 will allow you to run at 1080p, assuming the rest of your computer can handle it too.

the monitor will be 21.5 to 22 inchs (Max although very unlikely - 24)

Well i come from a 3rd world country so the prices are sky high considering the fact that certain gtx 1060 variants are cheaper than rx 480.

The difference between the prices of the msi rx 480 (gaming X and armor are the only two 4gb variants) and sapphire rx 570 (other is asus ROG which i don't) is of about 62.5 USD

so it is worth the extra money ?

My setup is Ryzen 1500x 8GB 2400MHz RAM and ASUS Prime B350M - A motherboard. Well it should be able to handle i guess don't you think

I think either the 480 4gb or 570 4gb will suit you just as well, so I'd pick the less expensive one. You should do well with that setup, and a 21 or 22" 1080p monitor is good.

Your system can handle 1080p gaming no problem with that gpu. No point of buying 720p monitor, or running your full hd monitor at 720p.

If the price difference isnt big get the 8gb version of rx480/580 or gtx 1060 (6gb).

My reason for asking that is if i don't get a good fps of 30-40 i will reduce the resolution to 900p or 720p. So will there be any difference in gaming experience.

Also i am thinking of going with a 60hz freesync monitor so is the freesync feature worth it consider i am paying about 70-80 USD more than a usual monitor

You will get the fps you want, those cards are meant for 1080p so 720p will be easy for them. If it were me I'd rather have a 24" 1080p non freesync monitor than a 22" 720p freesync monitor.

Any time you run a monitor at lower than native resolution, like running a game at 720p on a 1080p monitor, the image will be a little fuzzier. A little grainier, because you lose some sharpness. Some people notice it right away and hate it. Others will look at it and ask "What's the difference?".

edit: Just to clarify, with the computer you have and the videocards you're choosing from, 720p should not be a factor at all, just get a 1080p monitor and run your games at 1080p.
