Hello

I'm in the process of undervolting my CPU (and have successfully done so, my i5-4460 is now 0.95 volts instead of the initial 1.03 volt at load).

I was told that VRIN (Cpu input voltage) should be ideally 0.4-0.6 volt higher than the V-Core, and anything higher than 0.6 volt is not good for the long-term durability (stress on the component).

However unlike other settings, i cannot find VRIN adjustment inside XTU. Does anyone know where it can be found ? In my bios of my MB (Gigabyte H97N), i cannot adjust my VRIN lower than 1.7volt, so thats why i was looking for XTU

Also, is there a tool that displays my VRIN in windows ? None of my utilty (CPUZ,HWmonitor,COretemp), seems to be displaying the VRIN....

Thx

I totally agree with you, normal PC will have a 1 - 1.8V gap. Then, i don't understand why people say that 0.5 V gap is the optimal gap... i understood that unnecessary higher gap adds nothing to stability, but only to temp and lifespan.

Very interestingly, at stock (before undervolting), i cannot manually set my voltage at 1.7V, even if my stock voltage is at 1.02V.
