How do i know what phase of VRM my motherboard has?

i have msi b450 pro m2 V2. What VRM spec is and can i overclock 2700x to 4 ghz all core on it ?

4+2 phase.
If I were you, I wouldn't go crazy on OCing with that board.

2700X turbo-boosts to 4.3Ghz so 'overclocking' to 4.0Ghz would kill single core performance, and therefore gaming FPS that depends on single core performance if that's your purpose in it.

You're better choice is to PBO overclock it. That would also work a lot better with the VRM on that motherboard which is gonna be borderline bad for a 2700 all-core even at 4.0Ghz.
