Question VSS: Can't Read Volume Data Fix? External HDD

Hey I'm transferring everything to an external hard drive and just when it was nearly done I got the error VSS: Can't Read Volume Data (Source: Hard Disk Manager)
I was using Paragon Copy Drive 15 to do this, I was told by a friend to use CrystalDisk Info to check for any smart errors, I have no idea how to fix this issue and I was wondering if anyone here had ran into this?

depend on the issue is. if it hardware, need to replace it. if it just data corrupted, redo the transfer
