Vsync and shuttering

Hi everybody.

Today I have installed Prototype 2. I put everything on max 1080p with vsync on.
I have a lot of shuttering. Why ?
I changed in Riva Tuner to 60 fps max, and everything now is ok

Can I have vsync and fps lock to 60 fps in riva tuner at the same time or better to disable v sync?
I have an nvidia card.

sometimes a game can mis-configure vsync so even when its selected as on its not active.
the same setting can be found in the amd/nvidia control panels.
select enable vsync and set it to over ride application settings. apply, job done.

I change v sync in nvidia control panel, and now game runs smoothly. I took adaptive sync over v sync.

By the way. There is a lot more options like triple buffering, msaa etc, but games does not have these options in menu? What happen in I choose msaax8, triple buffering, mfaa ? Will it change image quality in game ?

use triple buffering if your game uses direct x, but it wont help with opengl games.
choosing x8 msaa will just cripple the performance.
best leave that on default in most cases. mfaa is an option if you dont like the aa used in a game. either use it or the in game AA.
