Hey all.
Ok so i'll make this as simple as i can.
Just got my new 970's yesterday after a bad 295x2 experience and installation was fine.
Certain games like CSGO, sniper elite 3, titanfall and black ops 2 have an extremely irritating rhythmic stutter that occurs in perfect timing each time.
It happens for a split second about every 2-3 seconds dropping the frame rate noticeably by about 1 - 2 frames.
Now the interesting part is when i turn vsync off and slowly pan around using my 360 controller i notice that the vertical tearing is in the same time pattern as the stutter each time a tear rolls down the screen.
I have tried all the different vsync options but nothing stops it.
Happens with both SLI and single card but my recently removed 290x was fine.
If i limit my fps to 1 below the refresh rate it numbs the effects a little on some games but is still noticeable.
Doesn't matter if its 60hz or 144hz, problem persists.
I don't appear to get this on bf4 or bf3, but it might be i'm not just noticing it as much. As you can imagine this is rendering my games unplayable and i am stumped why this is happening.
I will also mention, when i ran 290x in crossfire this problem was occurring then as well.
I tested on my TV to rule out my monitor and it happens on the TV also.
My monitor is a asus vg248qe 144hz
3770k 4.5ghz
8gb ram
win 7
Thanks.
