I've been using Vuze for over 2 years without issue, but since last week I've been unable to download anything.

I'm using a Linux system, and this is rather annoying because the whole reason I have a Linux system is to download things without getting viruses, etc.
When I try to install a different torrent program in the Terminal I get this message:
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-headers-3.18.17-031817-lowlatency : Depends: linux-headers-3.18.17-031817 but it is not installable
qbittorrent : Depends: libtorrent-rasterbar7 (>= 0.16.11) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
If I try to run 'apt-get -f install' I get this message:
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (13: Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you root?
Any ideas?
