Hello people i was just wondering if anyone can help me my sister has got a nasty virus on her laptop called antivirus.NET. But iam thinking of rebooting the os but the only problem i have is i deleted the recovery partion to expaned the harddrive .For more harddrive space and plus i dont have the recovery cd anyway. As far as i know the version is vista home basic 6.0.6002 sp2 build 6002. If i got a copy and put in the product key in on the back of the laptop would it work.

Hopefully that will remove it so you do not need to reinstall --- If not contact your system manufacturer and request a recovery CD (most will sell you a new copy for $10 - $$30) --- since you did not make a copy before deleting it you'll need to buy a new copy (I think it usually warns you a few times not to delete that partition to avoid this ! - so can't really feel too sorry for you having to buy a new copy instead of just making one from the recovery partition before deleting it.)
