I just switched back to VZW and took the Mobile Web option. I have an
email account that I would like to check from the phone (Audivox
CDM-8900). I have done this, but, it is very cumbersome and I am
wondering if there is a way to shortcut (bookmark?) the process.

Here is what I am doing. I go do "email/messaging" (1) and then go to
"more" (8) and then go to "find more email" (1) and then go to
"mail2wap" (7). From there I go to "advanced login" as I need to insert
a ip address for the "server name".

Besides being cumbersome, every time I go to check mail I need to
re-enter all of the information.

Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks, Scott

Not saying that it is the best way. But open a Hotmail or Yahoo free
email account, set it to when you get to the main Mobile Web menu to
select the MSN or Yahoo email option. When you set up this free
account set up the pop email feature and then when you get the Hotmail
and Yahoo mail you want to read and reply to also click on other
email-pop then it will retrieve that as well.

There are other options I use such as notification from Hotmail when
certain folks send me an email. It then goes to me as a text message
which I can then open up in my mobile web browser.

There is also Soda Pop Mail which you can get fro "Get it Now" but
there is a price attached to it.

That will work, but the pop server access from hotmail/yahoo requires paying
for an account. If your ISP has vacation forwarding, you can forward to your
account for free.

Try this:

http://wapmail.dorada.org/

It works great! You set up a free account (from a PC browser), then you can
bookmark a link to your account:

With password verification: http://wapmail.dorada.org/login.wml

Without password verification:

Thanks for the reply and info! Here is where I am confused. I already
have a pay account with Yahoo so I can check my other non business email
accounts when traveling without having to log into a variety of webmail
accounts. When I log into Yahoo with VZW web and click on "check other
mail", I see 3 out of the 4 of my "other" accounts, but of course, not
the one that I really need ;-') When I log into Yahoo on my computer,
all 4 "other" email accounts are present, no problem.

As a reminder the company email server that I log into for this mail
does not have a name, it has an IP address and then like any other
account I do input my username and password.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Scott

Sort of like what my agency uses. We have GroupWise and when I get to
the login it always makes me do the name and password bit. (Now even
at the office) The MIS director informed me that this is a security
feature and it must be done that way.

And yes Hotmail and Yahoo will allow you to have up to 3 pop3 email
accounts to check in addition to their own. I noted Peter thought this
was fee based. I never paid a fee for its use. I just don't like that
stupid message of this may take a few minutes to retrieve your pop
mail "OK"? and then if you hit OK the pop mail stops loading. If you
wait a few moments the pop mail is there and you can read it as you
will and reply.

pop3 mail up to three accounts is free. I have never paid for the
feature. I remember a year or so ago that one or both of the services
said it would cost to get your email, but I never had to pay.
