Hello All,
I recently came into possession of a W & J Davies of Birmingham 12 bore side
by side hammer gun and wondered if anyone can help me with any information
on the company. The travel case in which I got the gun has the name R.N.H.C.
Bray and "D. of Wellington Regt" printed on it. Strangely enough the only
information I can find on the name points to it being built for Sir Robert
Bray but he was with the Duke of Gloucester's Regiment not the Duke of
Wellington's Regiment this was taken from the "Glosters" website :- 1944 -
R.N.H.C. Bray, DSO - General Sir Robert Bray, GBE, KCB, DSO. Commissioned
1928. Died 1983.
Hope someone can help or maybe point me in the right direction of someone
who can.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Dave (swat "thefly" to reply by e.mail)
