As the title suggests, I'm wondering how to use MalwareBytes (premium) with W10 Security . I set W10 anti-virus to do occasional scans but remain inactive while MB is active. Now I'm wondering which is better for an "active" anti-virus? Should I keep W10 Security as my active protection and do occasional scans with MB, or vise-versa?

To add to the confusion, I just got a yellow flag on W10 Security telling me that I can set it to remain active for browser scans, etc. which I agreed to. I'm very confused. I like MB from years of past experience, but unsure which is best or how to use them.

i leave maleware bytes premium running, otherwise what's the point? if it isn't running it's not effective. I think it's a bit nice than just windows defender but most can get away with just defender and common sense.
Windows active-background scanning components of Windows Security should automatically disable themselves when another 'active' AV /Antimalware is installed, so that the two do not interfere with each other.

Background periodic scans from MS Security are not considered to be in conflict with other AV's to my knowledge...

WHen you click on MS Security Dashboard, and click on 'Virus and Threat Protection' , if it says Malwarebytes is installed' then I'd surmise that the potentially interfering active components are already disabled....

Thank you. So then, which is the better protection to leave run active? Microsoft Security or Malware Bytes?

Good point! If I run MS full time and only run MB for scans, why pay to have the premium version of MB? Thank you.
