W10 upgrade problem

Hey guys when i go to $Windows folder and run the setup i get this error: 0x80070002
(windows was unable to locate required installation file boot.wim...)

You shouln't run the setup manually. I've read that running the setup.exe yourself from the $Windows.bt~BT folder the install files get deleted.

Apparently you should get a popup from the Windows 10 notification app.

I have the same, I guess we both need to wait a bit.

You need to wait. Your computer will tell you when the install is ready to proceed. You really shouldn't be messing around with Hidden System Folders anyway.

i have this problem too but i did the setup on July 29th the release date so do I still get windows 10 for free or did i fuck up?

You should still get it for free. If you really can't wait you can download the setup files from here (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10). Remember to select the correct version to install (32/64 and Home/Pro), create a usb stick or iso file, and this is important, RUN THE INSTALLER FROM WITHING WINDOWS.

thanks the funny thing is right after asking this i ran the windows update search and win 10 was already downloaded and i started downloading it and it installed with no problem thanks man
