W2K and NT4

Is it possible to install NT4 AFTER W2K and if how? I tried quite a lot, but didn't get it working. The trouble I ran into during the first approach was that the NT4 setup "downdated" my NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM which was somethinh W2K didn't really like. 🙂 I got the NT4 setup to use the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM of W2K and it doesn't seem to worry about that.
The remaining trouble is the newer NTFS of W2K. As far as I know NT4 should be able to deal with that since SP4. I tried to "convince" the NT4 setup to use the NTFS.SYS of SP6 but it is quite stubborn. Does anybody know how to get the NT4 setup work with an updated NTFS.SYS?

What you are trying to do might not work. The only thing I could find on it is Microsoft kbase article q184299.

You haven't upgraded your disks from basic to dynamic in windows 2000 have you?

Yes i have. Is this a knockout-criteria for NT? (I actually think so) Didn't consider this at all. Well then I have to backup and get NT on it without W2K. ;-) Just need it for a week for a special project.
