It reboots at 'applying security settings' on the startup screen. It boots
OK in safemode.
any ideas? We dont have any special computer policies. It is in a win2000
domain. It has 2 local accounts for 2 domains. This is not a unique setup
at this site, but the only one that reboots at startup.
I got it up yesterday and ran a full virus scan. We have symantec 9.x corp.
ran spyware scan as well. dont see anything

Any ideas appreciated.

What was the last item installed that caused this? Check Event Viewer for
errors. When you view the logged events in Event Viewer (double-click them
in the right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third button down is a
copy to clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a reply message.

Please do so for each of the different System Log events (that are a Type:
'Error' or 'Warning') since last boot so we can see all of the event detail.

Also check Device Manager for error codes and or non-starting devices.
