W520 Msata Port

On my W520 CTO the msata port only showing up as Sata 2. Why when the mother board supports Sata 3 in the drive bay and the hard disk bay. I
Is there any way for me to upgrade the Msata port

Post some reading.
No you cant upgrade the port. The chip set only supports one sata 2 port and two sata 3 ports.

the sata 2 should still be fast. Its the access times that matter which would be largely unaffected from my understanding (0.1 ms vs 10ms for a HDD).
