W7 Ultimate 64bit - RMCobol & RunCobol does not want to work on my 64bit. Is there a way to make this work? 🙁 I tried the put the properties on Windows XP, but it doesn't work.

I don't know what this program is, because that's what the teacher gave us. If I knew where to download the 64bit version, I would.

Solution
I’m not sure of the exact process, since I have an AMD processor but I can give you a general idea of what to do.

-Restart your computer and as it begins to restart press the ESC key, or sometimes F10 or F12. This will bring up the bios or even a start-up menu.

-If you get to a start-up menu, press the F-key to enter the bios.

-The virtualization option is probably on a configuration page of some sort.

You will navigate around using your arrow keys and use enter to select things.

Be careful to not change other settings, because if the bios gets messed up your computer at worst may not start. And then you would have to reset to the defaults which is what you probably are running right now.

Good. At least you had a backup plan.

I was going to say your last option would be to buy IBM's zBC12 mainframe, that would run cobol until the cows come home... But more seriously, that .OVY file might be the cobol source? If so you could just download a compiler for windows 7 and go from there.
