I had downloaded Win8.1_EnglishInternational_x64.iso (4.03 GB) from net, getting tip that it is the last released ISO of w8.1, so it has all updates till then.
When I go to install, it is asking for KEY before install.
I searched net to find to put a ei.cfg and pid.txt file in installation pen drive's "WINSETUP\sources" folder
ei.cfg having
and pid.txt having
but the hack is not working
I had earlier seen a similar hack work, but I had forgotten what I did then.
I had heard that installation pen drive cannot boot from NTFS and Win7 USB tool necessarily formats in NTFS, so I had to create installation pen drive using rufus (single) and WinSetupFromUSB-1-9 (along with w10 installer).
Due to ISO being larger than 4 GB, is is SPLIT to iso.001 and iso.002 to fit FAT32 formatted pendrive, necessasitating WINSETUP folder, which has only boot.wim file otherwise. Win8.1's original iso has different files in sources folder. Just mentioning to prompt if that could be the reason.
What I am doing wrongly?
Could you also guide me to the link to download the last released ISO of w8.1?
Thanks.
