Hello !

Does anyone play WAB with 15 mm miniatures ?
I´m wondering, if it does make sense. According to price of the minis and
space required it would in my opinion. I wonder, if it is playable.
Wich basesize would you suggest, and what kind of conversion do you have to
make to handle the movement and shooting.

As you might suggest, I´m a newbie to wargaming ... ;-)

Thanks in advance !

Kind regards

Markus

Certainly you can do it. Wander over to the WABlist and ask there:

warhammer english civil war recomends substituting centimeters for inches
when using 15mm figures.

we tried it and it worked fine.

for close order troops (like Roman Legionaries)10mm frontage per figure is
about right, for ECW we use 4 figures on a 20X40mm 'warmaster' base, and
even 8 figures in 2 ranks on 40X40mm 'monster' bases, you just need a marker
to record casualties
For open order troops (like barbarians) you could put 3 figures on the same
20X40mm base, we use 40X30mm (home-made) or 40X40mm for cavalry (3 per base)
how you handle skirmishers would be down to personal taste.

I thought about doing WAB in 15mm, but I already do it in 25mm but I still
think it's a good idea, you can have real hordes of barbarians or deep
formations of spear
