Wait for a few weeks or buy the coffee lake processor on the 5th Oct?

Hi all,

I am in process of upgrading my PC, and waiting for the Coffee Lake processor.
Will most of the folks here wait and watch or wait until an upgraded coffee lake processor or will go ahead and order the cpu on the 5th Oct?

Personally, I never buy a major part on release day.
Wait a while, and let other fools discover the initial problems.

lol, precisely. (Especially in the AF, I guess, where a faulty component can result in you hitting the ground at 400kn )

That goes for both hardware and software.
Usually right after the first point release (i.e. from MySlickSoftware 4.0 to 4.1) is a good time to buy.
