Question Wait for Gpu prices to fall/new release or buy now

Hi all

The RTX 3060 is around 500$ in my region with the rx 6600 being 444$ and the rx6650xt priced at 539$. Would now be a good time to buy or should I wait until a later date for prices to stabilize? Im looking for a good 1080p 60fps max gaming gpu. Thanks

I think prices have sort of stabilized depending on regions. Prices may lower more when the new cards release but at the same time it may not change much depending on region. If you could get a 3060 for less then 450 it wouldn't be an awful purchase.

So wait abit? Is the RTX 3060 good enough for 1080p? I used to have a gtx 1660 super back in the day so would the upgrade be worthwhile?

3060 does great at 1080P

I don't believe prices will lower significantly any time soon, especially considering people seem to perceive NVIDIA cards as more valuable. And a new generation of cards typically doesn't drop the price of the generation it's replacing anyway.

So my standard answer to this question remains: if you need something now, get it. If you can wait, wait.
