Wait for next Nvidia and intel series?

Ill have money to build my first gaming PC by the end of August (I'm 16 and living in Ireland). I've read that both Nvidia and Intel will be releasing new series of their products towards the end of the year and I'm wondering if it's worth the wait. I currently only have a ps3 so it will be a big step up. I was planning on getting an i5 4460 (or something around there - Intel only) and a GTX 770. I plan on building an MATX computer. So should i wait for the new Nvidia cards, which apparently will only go down in price once AMD release their new cards and apparently the new Intel processors may not be available until 2015. I dont want to wait until then. any advice is appreciated. sorry for the poor structure of the question.

There's always something just around the corner to wait for. Get what works for you now, then start budgeting for your next upgrade. By the time your current setup isn't satisfactory anymore, you'll have money in hand and a whole new set of choices to pick from.

Not sure what your local prices look like, but you can probably get an i-5 4670 for close to the same price.
