Hi guys,
I am gonna make my first build but i saw some release date leaks for ryzen 3rd gen APU.
So i had to ask should i wait for 3rd gen apus or go with ryzen 5 2400g
I will not be buying a gpu for like a year or something and just rely on igpu.
Thanks in advance

What about igpu will it have a significant upgrade?
Unknown. Maybe slight improvements on the onboard graphics, but probably not as much as the Zen+ redesign on the CPU cores. It seems to also be unclear if Zen+ will carry over to the 3000 series APUs.

However, it does look like the desktop enthusiast chips will hit the market first in July; then APUs/laptop APUs will follow later in the year.

So if you want to build soonish, you could be waiting a long while if you are waiting for the next generation of the APU. The 2400G is a good offering in the current market, but I would be hesitant of buying a 4-core CPU myself in 2019.

Τhere will always be something new on the horizon. Now it's Ryzen 3, after that it's gonna be Ryzen 4, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 6, Ryzen 7, 8, 9 10.

There will always be a reason to not upgrade. This question is almost philosophical.

Methinks if you find yourself pondering an upgrade, then you don't really need to upgrade.
