Depending on the mobo you are looking at, about 9 out of 10 I'd say go the Z97, I've got a Z87 Hero and already have the Z97 Hero headed this way 😉 Better heat dissipation, OCing, DRAM handling, a and ready for Broadwell when it arrives - it's a logical decision.

Okay but i'm on a budget build XD
I have 1300$ to spend and i don't have an os , keyboard and mouse so i don't know what to do XD the z97's are quite expensive

Then go ahead and go Z87, I'd look at the Asus mobos, across the board they seem to have the best handle on the Haswell CPUs
