[SOLVED] Wake from sleep: Keyboard/mouse/ no longer work?

Wondering if anyone has a good assessment of this: the last two laptops I've worked on, I was able to fresh-install Windows 10 and had/have no significant problems either software or hardware, yet both [one Dell, one HP] cannot wakeup from sleep via anything other than the power button. This is different from my 'norm'. I have used the powercfg command line tools to interrogate what devices SHOULD be able to wake the system, but to no avail. Just because the devices are correct, BIOS is correct, software all looks rosy, still doesn't work.

Logitech wireless devices will wake the system, but few people have a need for such.

any ideas?

Not exactly sure about what configuration changes you have made or tried.

Device Manager > Properties
