I've recently upgraded my prebuilt HP PC to windows 10 (from win 7).
The WoL function worked fine before I upgraded.

But now when I try to turn on my pc with wake on lan it powers up and there is a black screen saying
"non-system disk or disk error. replace and strike any key when ready".

But when I turn on my pc from the power on switch it boots just fine.

I've checked my hdds using 'crystal disk info' and and they are in good health.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn't find PXE or a similar setting in bios.
I have enabled network boot and I've set the 'Remote wake up boot source' to Local Hard Drive.

Edit - There is a setting called 'NIC Option ROM Download' and it is set to 'PXE'. The other settings are 'iSCSI' or 'disabled'.

Disable network boot.

Finally got it to work after resetting default bios settings and changing remote wakeup source from local hard disk to 'remote server' and nic option rom download to disable.

Thanks a bunch!!
