I need help setting up wake on lan for my computer. I've looked at many posts but no one seems to have the same UI i'm working with. Everyone's network adapters pages look like THIS and mine look like THIS. I can't find anyone that has an intel NIC. Can someone help me figure out what settings i need to do WoL?
I have a
MB: Asus Z97-A
OS: Windows 10
The settings in the picture i said mine looks like are the settings i have enabled. And in my bios i have wake on network adapter set and a few other things i can't remember. Thank you for helping.

That's why is good to learn the "why" of these things so a little difference won't throw you off. Problems in the real world are seldom copy and paste.

Let get this clear, what's the reason you need WOL? and what should triggers a WOL? Are your triggers within the LAN and NOT from the Internet correct?

I know that. It's not really a "little" difference there are more options and I have checked and did everything, on windows and my bios, I thought was needed to get WOL working. I didn't just simply google it and give up. I have been trying to set it up for a while now and ran out of things to try. I want to be able to start my computer up from sending a magic packet on my phone to my computer. My computer supposedly gets the packet because i used a wake on lan packet sniffer and everytime i send it, it says it gets it. Also the network card on the back of my computer is blinking when the computer is off, showing its still on. So i guess to simplify my answer, I'm sending it from the LAN.

I'm using my motherboards NIC if that's what you're saying. Which is an ASUS.

WoL is not suppose to have any dependency on the os. Before the machine is booted all the bios really knows is what drive to boot it can not really now what is on it. The problem is microsoft has gotten involved and made up their own WoL stuff and buried it in the power saving options.

You need to be sure the bios does not have support for some of the microsoft options and if it does you need to disable them.

You could I suppose boot one of the dvd linux images that run completely from memory and see if that comes up when you send WoL.

Now WoL packets are very special formatted packets. Some vendors of the WoL software are cheating a bit and using IP packets rather than a simple broadcast packet with the special mac address. Some bios implementation are very strict on what they will take....mostly to avoid wake on a unintended packet.
