I have enabled all the things necessary for WOL which works fine for sleep or hibernate. When I shutdown my computer in Windows via Start > Power > Shutdown the computer will not work with WOL, however if I shutdown using the physical power button on the front of my tower (Not holding down, just normal quick press) it will work with WOL. I have disabled fast boot, power saving etc and setting in BIOS. This is using a network PCIE card.

Thanks for any help possible.

PC Specs:
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
Network Card: TP-LINK TG-3468
OS: Windows 10 Pro

Check if ethernet led is on when you shutdown the PC.

If it is not then -

1. Update network adapter driver

2. Right Click This PC > Manage > Device Manager >Network Adapters > Double Clicked on motherboard network adapter > Advanced tab > Enable "Shutdown Wake ON LAN"

Check if ethernet led is on when you shutdown the PC.

Hopefully, it will be turned on now and you will be good to go.
