[SOLVED] Waking computer from sleep no longer works

did a new mobo install and windows install. I used to be able to wake computer from sleep mode using a mouse click or keyboard input. This no longer works. I have already checked power settings to make sure my mouse and keyboard are set to be able to do this,their wake from sleep settings are unchanged from before when they worked
