[SOLVED] Wall LAN Plugs tool free design ?

Hello,

I am looking for a tool free LAN wall Plugs .. has any one made such a thing? I dont have the time to wire the plugs in all the rooms.

Pretty much all LAN wall outlets need to be wired. The end that is wired is concealed behind a wall/insulation. The end that is tool free is the end you connect the Ethernet(patch) cable to. Perhaps you were looking for this?

The exist, but don't really save you much time (and don't work as well). You still have to separate out the 8 individual wires and place them into the proper slot. The only thing they do is save you from the minor expense of buying a 110 punch tool.

Here's how a punch tool works. I actually prefer them because they also trim the excess wire when you punch it. The toolless kits are actually harder because the wires can slip out of their slot while you're trying to get the other 7 wires in their slots (the toolless punch will punch all 8 of them simultaneously). With a punch tool, you punch down each wire as you put it in place. Once punched, it ain't going nowhere.

If these things work it would be great. All I know is spring-loaded punch-down is tried&true time-tested reliability.

These come with a crappy little plastic punch down tool. It does not cut the wires but it presses them in. I am sure other vendor sell something similar
