Hey guys, after seeing all those Wall Mounted PC and my jaw falling to the ground by all that i was looking to do it myself. Well i have the materials but i am afraid of some stuff. I am afraid of killing my motherboard, because of static electricity. Now motherboard is going to be on brass standoffs which are screwed into the hardwood. That goes for all other components. I am also worried about EMI but static is my main problem. Now i know that motherboard is grounded through the PSU but i was thinking of using a copper wire to connect brass standoffs to the screws in my PSU, that way its grounded through the cables of PSU and through the metal as it is in a computer case. Now i want your thoughts and expertise about it, any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Solution
Motherboards usually come packed with a soft foam cut out the size of the Mobo, use that when mounting it to wood

Or

Get an old pc case, cut out the entire panel where the motherboard is screwed into place then use as a base for mounting

My motherboard package was thrown in the garbage and only CD, manual and warranty has been saved. I could do that with an old pc case but should the panel for motherboard touch the PSU for grounding to work or ? Thanks for the answer :)

Ahh that static electricity got me real worried. But i am going to go ahead and wall mount my pc. I am just going to ground myself before beginning through my PSU by touching it, then i am going to disconnect it and put it first on the hardboard and power it on again. Then touch it again and continue with transferring more components to hardwood while touching the PSU from time to time. Guess that will minimise the risk of static damage to my components. And if i find an old case i will cut out the motherboard piece and put it under the motherboard on top of the hardwood. Will leave this thread with no solution for a day or two if anyone wants to share their thoughts too. Thanks for the answers :)
