walmart build your own, way cheaper. How???

I have done a lot of research into the computer build I'm looking for. I shopped around and found that walmart sells the computer with the build your own option for $300.00 less than getting the parts separately, and $150.00 less than the configurator they have available on newegg. I already know that I will want to upgrade the power supply asap after getting the computer. how is it that walmart can sell them so cheap is there something I am missing?

They buy their parts directly from the manufacturers in large bulk for cheaper prices.

well the power supply isn't very costly, and even after upgrading I will have saved money.

And as said above, Walmart has much larger buying power than you do.

But are those prices from Newegg versus Walmart for the same name components? I can't believe that Walmart would have the variety of components that Newegg has.

Just because they have "a video card" "a CPU" and "a case" does not mean that they are the same quality and speed as what you are looking at in other places.

Are you comparing the exact same parts, or at least the same level range of parts? The WalMart PC could have a video card 1/2 as fast and a CPU 3 levels down from what you are looking at in other places.
