ss202sl, you misread (although at first I did too, article is not clearly written).

25*26 = $650 which is the cost of the phone (16GB). So the $25 is not fees .

[citation][nom]ss202sl[/nom]A $25 financing fee per month is a lot of money just in fees.[/citation]

the 25$ per month is the payment on the phone itself.. so after the 26 months you will have paid $650 for the phone. No interest. A pretty good deal in my mind.

I think this is a pretty cool thing for walmart to do, as it will undoubtedly get more people onto the pay as you go scenario.

I currently use straight talk, and i think its great. The one thing to mention though, it isnt really unlimited data. After 2GB, you will get a msg from them warning you to cut down on the data, and at a certain point they will severely throttle you down.

Anyone know why they list the iPhone 4 and 5 but not the 4s? This plan seems very attractive assuming they offer HSPA+ in my area.

I'd consider it, but I don't want an iPhone, at all. Even if it were the best phone, which I think most people would agree it is not, the stigma of being an Apple Zombie would prevent me ever getting one of these phones.

Much like I wouldn't wear a dress, I can't see myself getting an iPhone. It would involve self-loathing, sexual identity problems, lack of purpose in life, and possibly demonic possession. No thanks.

Now, if it were $30 a month ...

This is going to cause headaches for the big carriers. Straight talk will allow you to swap out SIM cards thus bypassing the need for a new phone.

Get LG nexus4 and go with t-mobile $30/mo unlimited web.
Only 100 minutes a mo but get groove ip pro ($5 one time fee) and it's free call using data.
Total cost: $300 + tax + $5 (groove ip pro) and then $30 per month
Cheaper than this.

I have been using StraightTalk since August on my old iPhone 3GS. I love. They use either TMo or ATT towers in my area. Unlimited everything. Good service here. I picked up the Nexus 4 recently. Here is the run down. ATT phone $200 + $2160 (2 years service @ $89 a month, I think I was paying closer to $100) = $2360. Nexus 4 @ $400 (taxes and shipping) + $1080 (2 years service @ $45 a month) = $1480. The savings... $880. Sticking it to the big carries for their gouging... priceless.

[citation][nom]JOSHSKORN[/nom]Great, now extend it to DROIDS. I'm tired of the whole "iPhone first" attitude.I wonder what the coverage is like.[/citation]Read my comment bro. They also have the GS2 for $350ish. They've had it for a month now. You can buy any gsm compatible phone to use. I would have bought the GS3, but the off-contract price of $550-$600 was a bit too steep for me. When the N4 came along, I couldn't pass that up.

@whiteodian that's nice but Nexus4 is out of stock (for now) and why $45/mo for unlimited everything? $30/mo for 5GB web a mo (that's more than enough) at 4G speed (Nexus4 only does 3G anyway) from T-Mobile without contract. So that's slightly cheaper ($1480 vs $1120).

I believe Tmo doesn't really have 4G. It is HSPA+ which is plenty fast for me. StraightTalk supports HSPA+ as well. Yes, the Tmo plan is cheaper, but I don't want to worry about only having 100 minutes. There are other android phones out there available including ones sold by straighttalk themselves. Check out straighttalk.com. The only one I personally would consider is the Galaxy II, but ordered my Nexus 4 Nov 30 and got it Dec 31. They will get more in stock... eventually.

With a data plan only, you could get free calls and text with Fongo and TextMe from the Google Play store (both FREE). Both give you your own local number, and no one on the other end has to have the same apps.

Walmart can hoop their iPhones.

On Thursday I'm gonna get a $29/mo no contract deal with unlimited local calling, text and data with Wind Mobile. Promotion until Jan 31st.

I'd rather die than be caught using an iPhone. Really, no one worth talking to use Apple products anymore. Just wannabes now, and yes, there are lots of those out there. Probably some on this site even, thinking they are all tech savy, lol.

Hopefully with walmart coming in it will really be unlimited data,I tried straightalk two months ago...after a point I was throttled,it was soo slow I might as well not have had any data. I've heard the cap is 2gb...but I know I did atleast 5gb.

Wow. Irrational hate for an electronic device you don't even use and thus has never done anything to you is way more stupid than irrational love for an electronics device that you enjoy even if you are tech ignorant.

Better off with an unlocked Google Nexus 4 (GSM) for $349 + $50/mo voice + data plan from H20 Wireless (uses AT&T network)

I made it my personal goal to log in at work to write to you. You are probably one of the most ignorant people I have seen on this website yet. I own an iphone and have since the 3g. I build my own computers(Yes, microsoft), am going to college for CIT, and do all my own troubleshooting. I hardly "think I am tech savy"..I know I am..Jackass

Straight talk's idea of "unlimited" isn't terribly accurate. There's NO tethering allowed (although they can't stop you), but they WILL terminate your service for excessive usage. Which turns out to be somewhere about 2gb/mo.
