I wouldn't say it will go up against the halems, but being around the size of my Core Contact Freezer, it should at least offer decent performance. I'm a little apprehensive about the base, though... it looks like there are an awful lot of gaps to fill in it, but since this is pre-production, I'm sure the finish on the base will get better...

So you can expect to see product pages pop up on e-tailers like NewEgg soon

I thought Rosewill was a Newegg (generic like) brand, why would it be on other e-tailers like this article implies.

If you could sell your product in more than one place (regardless of who you are), would you? I certainly would...

Good point 😛

1. What does it cost?
2. How well does it actually work. Give it some good tests beside known good products.
(As an aside, "direct touch" technology sounds good and makes sense, but the top 5 in Frostytech.com's tests usually don't use it. For some reason though I usually end up buying coolers that do use it. I don't buy them because they are direct touch, I buy them because they are available and reasonbly priced, and work pretty well. Unfortunately the "top 5" usually are hard to find.)

And/or made out of gold judging by their pricing...

Lol, why not use Diamonds? 😀

With the width of this HSF (HeatSink Fins?), it's obvious that is must (should) be installed vertical, so heat will rise within each of the tubes, right? And this is how a heatsink should be installed, with the fan blowing into the fins, out the back of the case. RIGHT? Just asking.

[citation][nom]ct1615[/nom]rosewill is the newegg in-house brand (re-named products from other OEM)[/citation]

This, but there are resellers who buy from newegg and sell rosewill on their sites.

I wonder what other brand heatsink is the exact same part...

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Why not bolt an blacksmiths Anvil to the mobo whilst you are at it[/citation]
because an anvil has very little surface area compared to heatsinks

In my experience Rosewill is just a terrible brand. Even if this is a "huge" heatsink it will probably fail in craftsmanship. I've purchased a few of their products for family members when they go on sale (Newegg.com deal of the day, etc) and their products always have a major flaw. Screws loose in wireless n cards, panels missing on cases.

It may look nice but Rosewill sucks as a brand.

Funny, all of my Rosewill stuff runs excellently.

"The five heatpipes are right beside each other, with no space in between."

Now I see that their right next to each other, but there are small gaps that WILL hinder performance. Here's hope that one will be released with smaller spaces
