How can I get increased Mbps from the AC 1200 router to WiFi TVs streaming IPTV. Currently 26-28 Mbps go into the router from the Modem but only 6-7 Mbps come out to my wireless devices. All devices are wireless w/ one Ethernet cable running from the modem to the router. Will upgrading the router to AC 1900 push more Mbps to wireless devices?

Solution
WIFI performance is difficult to predict. If 5Ghz streaming is important, then it is probably worth trying a new router. The Netgear R7000, is a very good performing router. Also the Asus RT-AC68U. If you buy local, you could try it an return if you don't see improvement. Or you could buy used on E-Bay, take the risk but at a lower price. RT-AC68U routers usually sell for around $60.

Four TVs use 5 GHz. No more than 2 TVs streaming at one time.
