I have a peer-to-peer computer network consisting of 6 computers all running Windows 7 pro. I want to add an external disk drive which can be shared by all the computers. I have a Netgear GS116NA gigabit network switch. I assume I have to have a case in which the drives are installed. I assume RAID 0 is the preferred configuration. I have searched Tom’s hardware site but I cannot seem to find any recommendations for external ethernet hard drives. May be I am using the wrong key words.

Q1.) What drive enclosure have you found works well for you?

Q2.) What features do you look for when you buy external ethernet drives?

Q3.) What software or operating system must the case have so the drives in the case can be recognized by the computer network?
