Want to change motherboard/cpu in raid setup

I have a Adaptec ASR-5805 raid card that handles my raid. I just want to upgrade my AMD setup to an i5 build with more expansion slots. Will I be able to keep my data or would it be lost during the upgrade? Thanks.

probably be OK as you are using the same card, with drives in the same ports. BUT make a backup first.

I doubt it, unless your card supports growing arrays, not sure if any do.
