Want to format PC.

I have an Asus laptop and it came with Windows 8.1. I recently updated it to Windows 10. I have been wanting to format my laptop for some reasons but can't do that because then I'll loose the genuine version of Windows. Is there any way that I can format my laptop and activate it using some code on my PC?

If you have already upgraded to Windows 10 successfully, then you do not need a key anymore to reactivate it, as Windows uses the identity of your laptop's hardware to self-activate. Download the Windows 10 media creation tool here:

Use it to create USB or optical installation media for Windows. Install Windows 10 using your newly-created installation media, performing a Custom installation and selecting "Format" when possible. When prompted to enter a product key, press "Skip." Once you have completed the installation process and connected to the internet, Windows 10 will automatically activate.

Format? Do you mean do a fresh install of windows 10? If so then what slashgeek said is true. The windows 10 key will be forever associated with the hardware of your laptop, so as long as you dont change the motherbaord you can uninstall and install windows 10 as many times as you like.
