Hey there.

My old Asus monitor is dead,so i need a new one.I want to get a 144hz monitor, but i read that i need a very good GPU to be able to use its full potential.I play games like CS:GO and other games also.I have the Asrock H61M/U3S3 Mobo, Asus GTX660 DCU OC 2GB edition,a i5-3450 CPU (3.1to3.5Ghz),8GB or RAM,400W PSU.

Should i get a new GPU,and which one if i have to?I don't want to spend too much.If there is some mid-tear gpu,or just overall better than what i have now, that can run hte 144hz monitor well, with my rig, would be great.

Thanks.

The 144hz monitor will run just fine, however you probably wont be getting anywhere near 144fps in more demanding games, so it wont give you much benefit over say a 60hz monitor in those cases. Csgo should look great though!

Another thing to keep in mind is that in order to utilize the 144hz refresh rate you will need to use a displayport cable.
