So I’ve been pending on choosing my next upgrade and already asked if my comp can be ready for sli of my card. This went well as I figured out that my comp was ready and I knew and prepared everything for purchasing a new card and possibly a new case as well but now I’m having some second thoughts as I browsed through some more cards and saw one I was wondering would be a good upgrade.

So my card is a VGA EVGA|04G-P4-3774-KR GTX 770 4G and has similar specs to

Unless I’m wrong you can find out my models specs by searching them as well but I’m not well at comparing different cards from other brands.

The other cards an AMD and it’s this card

I want to know if getting this card is a worthy upgrade from my 770 4 GB or a no go. Also I want to know if using SLI for my card is going to be a better or worse upgrade as well then the card I had in mind. Also if there’s better card suggestions any of you have in mind then please share too if you think it’s better than my solutions.

Well , there should be many websites in your country where you can sell used items or you can try post it on facebook groups or even talk to friends.
Going for the gtx 980 or the gtx 970 depends on what gaming resolution you're planning on playing . If your gong with 1080p go with a single gtx 970 or if you have the budged SLI gtx 970 that will outperform a gtx 980 . If you're going with 1440p or higher go with gtx 980.
interesting, while the 7990 is way more powerful as it's two high end cards on one board it does present some issues, for one it's huge, also it will take a larger power supply (i'd say at least 850w) and because of it's design it might be fairly loud under load. and final issue with it is it's refurb so you never know what you might get. that said the 770 is a super rad card and will max out the majority of games out there, but i would recommend a gtx 970 instead as it's more powerful than that, cooler, and cheaper! here's a link to a really good one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487077&cm_re=evga_gtx_970-_-14-487-077-_-Product

wait so the 970 is better then the 7990? also if you mind, 380$ is on my line of budget but maybe just a bit on the edge. is thier one thats closer to 300$?

Going for a gtx 970 instead of the 7990 in your case would be a good choice if you could sell your 770. If you can't sell it going for a second 770 isn't that bad of an idea because it already comes with GPU BOOST 2.0 and it still is a great card.

No the 7990 is faster but the 970 offers newer tech and is just nicer to live with. And unless theres a killer sale the price wont go down. The 970 is one of the most popular cards you can buy as its cheap for what you get. Look up hwcompare and compare gpus.

Personally I'd say if you want a cheaper option, SLI your current card. If you want a long term option then buy a GTX 970 and upgrade into SLI over time. My suggestion for a gtx 970 would be the EVGA ACX2.0 SC or the Galax HOF model.

Either one of these options would be a good upgrade but to get the most out of it I'd say an SSD would be a great idea.

but what if the 7990 is cheaper then the 970 , i personally think i can handle the card so i know thats not a problem but on newegg it shows this one for 320$ in comp to 360-400+$ so would that be a better choice or am i missing somthin i dont know much about.

AMD is fairly close to lauch its new series so that might be why the 7990 is so cheap and although its a more powerful card than the GTX 970 it is a lot noisier and a lot more power-hungry to run . You can go see some noise tests on youtube and you will be supressed with the amount of noise it does . Like i said going for a SLI config with a gtx 770 is a complete viable option but if you could sell it or have the money a gtx 970 would be an even better and you could always go with sli 970 in the future

hmm, interesting but also i wana ask for the sake of making my choce easier as well cause i dont really know how to do this is how would one sell thier graphic card though cause i dont really know much about that and that would help my choice as it would make my upgrade cheaper as well.

As I look through what most of you guys are saying though a 970 is probably what id go for according to favor here, but before I even think of making a purchase I want to sell this card for ill have no use for it really so id appreciate help with that if anyone can help me out there. But also I looked into the card one grade higher the 980 and saw that yes it was more expensive but if i can sell this cardIi can make it cheaper so its as if im buying a 970 anyways. Also I made this decision cause I want to stay on the same manufacturer of Nvidia cause of drivers and that jazz I dont know if I wana deal with that.
