Want to Move a Wireless Card from One Computer to Another

Well I just built a new computer but I didn't buy a wireless card because I figured I could just use the one from my previous computer. The problem, however, is that I can't seem to find the wireless card at all. All I see is a sound card and a video card plugged in so how was I able to get wireless internet on the computer in the first place?

For what it's worth the motherboard is a M2N68-LA

Unless you added a wireless card or USB wireless adapter you didn't -- that motherboard only has an Ethernet adapter, so you could have used a cable connection.

I used a wireless connection most of the time on that computer. A wired connection wasn't possible for some time because my router was on the other end of the house. My PCI slots are empty except for my video card and sound card (i think that's what it is anyway.)

Did you have a USB dongle sticking in a port on the back of the motherboard? If not, you will need to get one. Newegg has THIS ONE on sale for $14.99 FS with code EMCXTXM88 if you are in the US.

Take a look at the sound card; what is the brand and model?

Alright I decided to hook up my computer and just try to find what was connecting me to the internet wirelessly in the device manager. I'm not sure why I didn't just do this in the first place lmao.. Anyway, I found out that is indeed a wireless adaptor. The model is a USB Wireless 802.11 b/g adaptor. I disabled it just to make sure that was it and it cut my internet off before re-enabling it.

The original problem is still at hand though... I have no idea where it is. I checked all the USB ports (5 in the back, 2 in the front) and they're all empty. In case it helps, here's a link to the computer.

It is probably a small dongle that is flush with the port, take a close look at all USB ports and you will find it.
