Want to play FSX on a 52 inch HDTV

If it is feasible, and if it is,If necessary I will also upgrade the cpu since I understood this game relies on cpu power .My current settings: cpu D 805/3.5ghz 1 gig ram and a HD3470
What would be the minimum upgrade needed in terms of cpu,ram?and perhaps mobo(current is asus p5n32 sli),I am considering the BFG GeForce GTX 260 OC MAXCORE55,if suitable to obtain decent framerates on a 52 inch HDTV.if not what would be the next best choice or choices.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Please tell us: PSU and operating system (32 or 64 bit).
Check the asus site for processor compatability, there are several p5n boards listed there but you may need to change it, not all older 'boards support the newer processors.

OK.
You're fine on the OS front, no probs there, just remember to use a 64 bit version if you put 4Gb of RAM onboard.
The PSU is from one of the top makers and has plenty of power for your intentions.
The bad news is the MB only supports the older C2D dual core processors of the E6XXX family, at least officially. Pop over to the CPU forum and see if anyone knows if a newer 7XXX or 8XXX processor will fit, otherwise you'll have to change the motherboard as well, which is going to get expensive.
Until you get a reply on the CPU issue I'd suggest you pop a GTX260 in along with 4Gb of DDR2 800 RAM (2X2Gb). I would suggest DDR2 1066 but I'm not certain the 'board will run with it whereas I know a newer 'board will work with the slower memory, and yes, it will slow the system down. By less than 3%.

I understand,
Since the mobo is a consideration, I will consider using my current settings in another case I have as an HTPC, I will keep the seasonic in the current antec p180 case and will buy ( newegg.ca or ncix.ca) whichever has better offerings the cpu-mobo-ddr2 1066 combination (plus a new psu cooler)
I will be using this PC for gaming specifically psx on the big display, video conversion with tmpgenc (cuda will be come in handy), and editing,and general usage,some photoshop...
Any suggestions for a good enough system no overkill, almost forgot:is the upcoming DX11 an important consideration to look for?

@ Junga: I am not holding my breath for DX11, nor trembling with excitement over Windows 7.
I've had a quick look at some parts at Newegg.ca and came up with somewhere between 650 and 900 Dollars Canadian for MB/CPU/RAM/card/cooler. The upper price was: i7 920, 6Gb DDR3 1333 RAM, GTX275 card and motherboard, perhaps a bit much for your needs but hey, I like spending other peoples money
Perhaps more sensible is a fast quad, 4Gb DDR2 1066 RAM, GTX260 card, MB and cooler.
Pop over to the Homebuilt Forum with these pencilled-in specs and your budget and see what they think.
